Important News about 080, 084, 087, 09 and 118 Numbers
As from 26th June 2015 businesses that use 080, 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers must imperatively ensure that the cost of calling them is clearly advertised when promoting their contact numbers.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
- Businesses must ensure that they know the cost of calling their non-geographic telephone number.
- Cost of calling their number from a mobile is likely to be more expensive than from a fixed line and must be clearly stated.
- The cost of calling must be prominent and clearly stated in any advertising of the relevant non-geographical number(s).
- Their advertising, promotional material and communications must be updated with the new pricing information as from the point of change date of 26th June 2015.
